The Beautiful Minds Project was established in the fall of 2003 to bring the talent, experience, and resources of Princeton alumni together with the curiosity and enthusiasm of the children of Ralph J. Bunche Elementary School. It seeks to inspire children to pursue higher education and promote alumni appreciation of the challenges and triumphs of schools in underserved areas of Los Angeles.
The Beautiful Minds Project ("BMP" or the "Project") is an affiliate of The Alumni Network (TAN) of Princeton Project 55 and a participant in College Alumni in Public Schools (CAPS). There are many ways in which you can participate or help out:
Get another elementary school involved in the Project
Lend your advisory, grant-writing, or fundraising skills
Donate new or used computers for the school or students' home use
Donate new or used children's books so that students may read at home with their families
Donate art supplies
Read to a class
Visit a class and lead an interactive discussion about your career, life path, or hobby
Help organize a special project or field trip
Help shape the Project as a member of the Project Organizing Committee
